ATechs Privacy Policy

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how ATechs obtains, uses, shares and protects information obtained from ATechs Experts and visitors (“you”) to the ATechs websites (“Site”).  If you are an ATechs Expert then you have additionally agreed to the ATechs Expert Terms & Conditions.  If you are a visitor to the Site then you consent that your information may be obtained, used and shared by the Site under the terms of this Privacy Policy.

 1. INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM USER

ATechs obtains information (“your information”) that you voluntarily provide through the Site, including your name, contact details, and professional biography.  ATechs also obtains information from the ATechs Experts about their participation and interaction with the ATechs clients (“Clients”).  Additionally, ATechs may obtain information about ATechs Experts from Clients. As a visitor to the Site, you may receive one or more cookies on your computer to uniquely identify your browser to the Site.  These cookies allow your computer to be recognized by the Site and make it easier for you to log on and use the Site in future visits.  You can configure your browser to accept or reject all cookies, or notify you when cookies are set. The information collected by the Site is stored in a secure database in the United States.  Your information (including your web request and IP address) is automatically recorded when you visit the Site.  Your information is not obtained by the Site unless it is voluntarily provided by you to the Site.  Information is accessed by ATechs staff and third parties that have been contracted by ATechs. 

2. USE OF INFORMATION 

ATechs may contact you using personal information that you voluntarily provide (including contacting Experts about consulting opportunities).  ATechs uses your information to process details of your Expert profile, to provide you opportunities for consultations, and to notify you of new developments at ATechs.  Your information is also used to help develop the business.  ATechs does not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing or solicitation purposes.  ATechs only works with trusted third parties to process your information for the reason it was obtained. If you started and didn’t complete the Expert application, ATechs may contact you based on your information to determine if you wish to complete the application.

 3. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION 

ATechs may disclose your information with Clients, typically in connection with consulting opportunities.  After a consultation, ATechs shall verify the duration, invoicing and description of the consultation conducted with Clients.  The Clients, if required by law or by the Clients compliance policies, may disclose information about their consultations with you. ATechs reserves the right to conduct background checks on the Experts.  ATechs may use third party companies to verify your employment history and check for criminal history.  ATechs or a third party company reserves the right to disclose your information to your current or former employers and companies you have provided services to, for the purpose of confirming that you are allowed to participate as an ATechs Expert. ATechs may disclose your information in response to a legal process, a court ordered request, to protect ATechs’ rights, as required by law, or for the prevention or detection of a crime.  If ATechs is sold, in part or in whole, or if the business enters a joint venture with another business entity, then ATechs may disclose your information to our new business partners or owners. ATechs may also share your information with third parties for the purpose of promoting ATechs’ business (including by displaying such information on the Site, print media and other materials), subject to your right to opt-out, as provided in the Expert Terms & Conditions.

4. ACCESSING & UPDATING INFORMATION 

As an ATechs Expert, you are entitled to see the personal information held about you, subject to ATechs’ confidentiality obligations to its Clients.  You are required by the Expert Terms & Conditions to keep your information current and correct.  Additionally, your information may be updated by ATechs using data obtained from third parties.

5. OPTING-OUT 

As a visitor to the Site, you may choose not to provide information to ATechs.  Experts may choose to opt-out or terminate their membership with written notice (including emails).

6. CONTENT FORWARDING 

ATechs may forward content from the Site to others through e-mail or by other means.  Contact information that you supply for content forwarding will only be used for the purpose of content forwarding.
7. SECURITY OF INFORMATION

ATechs uses security measures in the database facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that has been obtained from you by the Site.  Your information will be retained for a reasonable period of time, or for as long as the law requires.
8. REFER AN EXPERT 

As an Expert, you may use the "Refer an Expert" feature to send an e-mail to a colleague who has consented to being contacted by us.  ATechs also stores referral information in order to present other opportunities to the referred Experts.
9. LINKS 

The Site may contain links to websites belonging to third parties.  When you leave the Site, make sure to read the other website’s privacy policy as this Privacy Policy only applies to the ATechs website.

10. REVISIONS TO PRIVACY POLICY 

ATechs may make revisions to this Privacy Policy.  Any changes to the policy will be posted on the Site.  By visiting the Site, you are agreeing to the current Privacy Policy.
